  • Retired firefighter and award-winning local poet Robert Breen talks about his decades-long friendship with Irish Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney, which Heaney celebrated in his poem “Helmet.” Through personal stories, Heaney’s letters and his own work, Breen recounts an extraordinary association with the man who became, over time, his literary mentor as well as a great friend.

  • 9th Annual Celtic Christmas Fair

    November 12, 9 AM-3 PM

    This will be the seventh year we have combined forces with Mercy Hospital, St. Luke’s, State Street Church and 75 State Street to hold holiday fairs on the same day, resulting in the State Street Holiday Stroll. Every year the event has grown and we look forward to an even larger turnout in 2016.
