Volunteer Opportunities
The Maine Irish Heritage Center relies a great deal on the support of our volunteers.
We have two types of opportunities:
"On-going opportunities" are those jobs where a person makes a commitment to
volunteer at the center at a given time each week. Typically, a person will volunteer to
work a morning or afternoon shift on a given day of the each week.
We need people with the following skills:
-Office skills (telephone, basic computer)
-Tour guides (Wednesday 1-3) (training provided!)
-Light janitorial work
One Time Tasks
These are tasks in our "To Do" folder. Each one is broken out into the job steps and an
estimated time to completion. All materials are supplied!
-Light painting jobs
-Basic clean up
-Light clerical
Our office is lively but professional environment where all members of the team, paid
and unpaid, work together to make the Maine Irish Heritage Center a reality.
